Vinyl. Our stickers and sheet labels are printed on white vinyl or on clear, holographic, glitter, and chrome films, all finished with a gloss or matte laminate. Paper is only offered on roll labels, as White Satin Paper, and on trade templates printed as paper on a roll.
Why stickers are vinyl
A sticker has to survive wherever it ends up: a water bottle, a laptop, or a bumper. Laminated vinyl is weatherproof, resists sun, water, and scratches, and flexes with the surface it's on. It lasts 3 to 5 years outdoors before the print starts to fade. When you're done with it, standard white vinyl peels off cleanly without residue on most surfaces.
Paper would tear, soak up water, and stain in the same places.
Where paper makes sense
On product labels, paper has real advantages:
- It has the look and feel of paper, which suits dry goods, handmade items, and shipping seals.
- Unlaminated, it takes pen and pencil and tears easily, which helps when you date labels by hand or want a seal that tears.
- With a gloss or matte laminate, it becomes considerably more durable while keeping most of the look.
Paper isn't for anything wet, oily, or chilled. That's what BOPP is for.
