How to use the Live Sticker Proof

After you upload your artwork on a sticker product page, press "Draw It Now" in the "See Instant Sticker Proof" box. The Live Sticker Proof shows your sticker with its cut line and size, lets you adjust the border, and asks "Yes, Print This" or "Request Changes". It is optional, and our team still checks every cut line before it prints.

The Live Sticker Proof is optional. After you upload your artwork on a sticker product page, press "Draw It Now" in the "See Instant Sticker Proof" box. We draw your cut line right on the page, so you can check your sticker's size and shape before you order.

Where you'll find it

The "See Instant Sticker Proof" box appears under your upload when all of these are true:

It doesn't appear for Clear, Holographic, Glitter, or Chrome, for Kiss Cut Stickers, Sticker Sheets, or Sticker Packs, for labels, or for the trade stickers. It also stays hidden on a slow connection. Nothing is lost when it doesn't appear: we email you a proof after you order, unless you choose "No Proof Needed" in your cart.

How to draw your proof

  1. Choose your options on the product page: material, shape, size, finish, and quantity.
  2. Press "Upload Artwork" and choose your file.
  3. Under your file, find the "See Instant Sticker Proof" box, and press "Draw It Now".

After you upload, the "See Instant Sticker Proof" box appears under your file. Press "Draw It Now" to see your proof.

On a computer, your proof takes the place of the product photos, and the controls sit beside it. On a phone, the proof opens over the page in a panel called "Your Proof". Close it with the × at the top. You can close it and decide later, and your order isn't held up.

Reading the proof

The dashed green line around your design is the cut line, where the blade will go. The cut line isn't printed. What is the dashed line around my proof? explains it in full.

The width and height are measured along the sticker, and they're the finished size. Hold a ruler up to check that the size is what you pictured.

Sometimes a file needs our team to draw the cut line. Then no line appears, and the page says "Our team will prepare your proof before printing." You can still try a different shape or border.

Viewing controls

These change what you see on screen, not what we print:

  • "View On" shows the sticker on white, black, gray, or a checkerboard. A dark or checkered background makes the edges of a white or pale design easy to see.
  • "View Larger" opens a bigger view for checking fine detail.
  • "Show Finished Sticker" hides the cut line, so you see the sticker as it will look trimmed. "Show Cutlines" brings the line back.
  • "Show Layers" takes the sticker apart into its layers, from the laminate on top to the backing liner underneath. "Hide Layers" puts it back together. See What is a sticker made of?

Adjusting your sticker

The controls under "Adjust Your Sticker" change the sticker itself:

  • "Border" is a slider for the gap between your artwork and the cut. The marks are Thin (0.065"), Standard (0.09"), Thick (0.125"), and Extra Thick (up to 0.15"), and the readout shows the gap in inches. On a circle, square, or other shape, it also offers Crop and None. See Sticker border options.
  • "Cut Style" appears when the sticker is cut to your artwork. "Standard" follows your design closely, into its corners and notches. "Smooth" evens out a rough or low-resolution edge.
  • "Background" sets the color of the sticker behind your artwork.
  • "Fit", "Fill", and "Center" appear on shapes. "Fit" puts your whole design inside the shape. "Fill" covers the whole shape, so the edges of your design run past the cut. "Center" puts the design back in the middle. You can also drag the artwork to move it, and pinch to resize it.
  • "Corner" appears on rounded shapes. The slider runs from nearly square to fully round.
  • "Sticker Size" appears when you ordered a width and a height. "Even Border" keeps the same border on every side, within your size. "Exact Size" makes the sticker exactly that size, with your design fitted inside.
  • "Switch To" appears when your artwork is already a circle, square, or another simple shape. It offers to change your sticker to that shape.

Giving your answer

The Delete Instant Proof, Yes, Print This and Request Changes buttons under the Live Sticker Proof

  • "Yes, Print This" approves the sticker exactly as the proof shows it. We check the cut line and your file, and the sticker goes to print without another emailed proof. Use it only when everything on screen is right.
  • "Request Changes" opens a box called "What Should We Change?". Write what you'd like changed, and we'll email you a new proof to approve.
  • "Delete Instant Proof" removes the proof, and we draw your sticker by hand instead. Use it when the cut line misses fine detail in your artwork, or when starting fresh is easier than describing the fix.

On a phone, pick your answer, then press "Submit Approval" or "Submit Change Request" at the bottom of the panel. Then add the sticker to your cart as usual.

Our team still checks it

Our team reviews every cut line before it prints. The Live Sticker Proof lets you see your sticker sooner. It doesn't replace that check, and we may email you an updated proof if we spot something that could be better.
