Standard White vinyl suits most wedding stickers, High-Tack suits kraft and textured favor boxes, and the clock starts when you approve your proof, not when you order. Wedding stickers are small, handled, and photographed, and those three things decide the material.
Where they have to stick
Standard vinyl handles smooth cardstock, glass, and most plastics well. The surface that catches people out is kraft and textured cardstock: the rough, uncoated paper that's everywhere in wedding stationery, and exactly what standard adhesive struggles to grip.
High-Tack Stickers use the same print with a much stronger adhesive, and they're the answer for kraft boxes, rustic cardstock, and anything with a visible texture. If seals have lifted at the corner on a favor box, that's why.
Whatever the material, wipe glass jars before sealing them. Packing leaves a film on the glass, and adhesive bonds to the film.
The materials worth paying for
A favor seal is small, so the material does a lot of the work:
- Clear Stickers look printed straight onto the glass or the box, so the surface becomes part of the design. Decide where white ink goes: without it, colors are see-through; with it, they read solid.
- Holographic Stickers shift through the rainbow as they move.
- Chrome Stickers have a mirror finish: gloss for the most shine, or matte to soften it.
- Glitter Stickers sparkle across the whole sticker.
On all four films, bold shapes show off the material better than fine detail: a monogram works where a delicate script with hairlines won't. Photographs don't show these materials well. Our Sample Pack, coming soon, will have all six sticker materials, these four films included. Until then, a small first run shows you the film, since the 15 Custom Sticker Sample prints on white vinyl only.
Size
Envelope seals and favor labels usually land between 1.5" and 2.5". Hold a ruler against the actual envelope before you decide. Most people's first guess is too small, and a seal that's too small looks like an afterthought.
Timing matters more here than anywhere
Stickers ship 3 to 5 business days after you approve your proof, plus shipping time. The clock starts at approval, not at checkout, so answer your proof as soon as it arrives. If we haven't heard from you 36 hours after we send the proof, we may go ahead and print what it shows, so reply, or ask us to hold it.
Order well before you need the stickers, and approve quickly. If the date is tight, tell us before you order. Rush is available for a fee, and if you'd like an order held to ship closer to the date, ask us. Rush orders has more.
If you don't have a designer
If your file isn't print-ready, we'll fix it and show you what changed. If there's no file at all, tell us what you want, and we'll design it as a Custom Designed Sticker. That carries a design fee, shown on the product page, and a minimum of 50. You see a proof before anything prints.
