Will the label survive an ice bucket?
On BOPP, yes. Our Custom Roll Labels in White Plastic BOPP are a laminated plastic film made for product packaging, and they handle moisture, condensation, and handling in a way paper can't. Apply labels to dry bottles at room temperature, and wait 24 hours before they go in ice. Paper wrinkles and lifts in a cooler, so for anything that gets wet, choose BOPP. Can you print the government warning and ABV text small enough?
Yes, down to 6 pt, or 8 pt for thin (light or script) fonts. Send the text at the size you need, and if anything won't hold up, we'll tell you on the proof, before it prints. We print the text you supply, so check the rules that apply to your beer. See compliance text on small labels.
Do you do labels on a roll for an applicator?
Yes. Every roll is wound on a 3" core, so check that your applicator takes one, and send us the unwind direction its manual shows before you order. The applicator checklist lists the rest. If you apply labels by hand in small batches, sheet labels may suit you better, with a minimum of 25 of a design instead of 100. Tell us your run, and we'll help you choose.
Will the label wrap around the curve of a bottle?
That mostly depends on the label size. Measure the flat area of the bottle, the part that's flat before the glass starts to curve away, and leave a margin. Then send us that label size (some suppliers call it a dieline). How to measure a jar or bottle for a label walks through it.
Can I get a different label for each beer without ordering huge runs of each?
Yes. The minimum is 25 of a design on sheet labels and 100 of a design on roll labels, so a seasonal or one-off batch is easy to order. The price per label drops steeply as the run grows, and the calculator on the product page shows the exact price before you add anything to your cart.
How do I get a metallic or holographic look?
Use Chrome Sheet Labels or Holographic Sheet Labels. Our roll labels are white BOPP or paper, so the metallic films come on sheets. We print onto the film, so the shine shows through your artwork wherever the white ink is left out, and where the white ink goes is a design decision. See the film in person before you commit to a big run, by starting with a small first order.
How fast can I get them?
Stickers and sheet labels ship 3 to 5 business days after you approve your proof, and roll labels 5 to 7. Rush production is available for a fee, and roll labels have a guaranteed 2 business day Rush. An exact reorder of the same label skips the proof round, because your approved artwork stays on file.
